I have been struggling with anxiety for a long time. When I bought this book I didn't expect much from it, though as I have found in the last few days, the techniques provided in the book has actually helped me a lot.
Fear and Anxiety can be a real killer and can impact your performance even when you are very good at doing something. This book gives you simple ways to identify when anxiety is taking over you and tips to effectively manage it. This is a good book for anyone who wants to learn to handle anxiety.
Introduction is too long, the rest of the"book" is without depth and is basic information that is common knowledge to all.
Extremely short with useless hypothetical "examples." I liked the mindfulness part because it is true how for granted we take simple joys of life. The rest of the "book" is something that you probably heard already elsewhere.
The strategies to reduce stress and axiety introduced by the author are quite simple to follow. To my mind the author did a great job creating this step-by-step manual. It will be really helpful during the depression. Moreover, if you follow this guide, you won't have a depression.
Also, the breathing exersising were especially helpful to me, and I think they will work to the others.
Anxiety is a big problem in today's society and I have it at times, especially social anxiety when you haven't gone out in the longest, it really does mess with your head. The author did a good job in the book to explain what type of anxieties there are and different ways you can deal with it. Very practical, I started using some techniques in here and I can feel the anxiety is dying down. good book.
